This set of 6 absinthe distillery prints feature reproductions of original late 19th century absinthe labels. These pieces were printed using a 4 color offset printing press, meaning each color was applied separately. This method of printing would have been the same used to produce the original labels. The colors and image are sharp and vibrant. Silver or gold metallic inks were used in the printing process on the wormwood branches and leaves, adding to the authentic look and feel of the prints. The use of metallic inks creates a shiny, rich finish and an authentic look. The photos above do not feature the metallic ink.
The black line that borders the image above is used only as a reference for what the poster would look like framed and matted.
