The Est Glass gets its name from its popularity in the east of France. It would have been highly unusual to have found this type of glass used elsewhere other than this region.

This is an atypical example of an Est glass because of its size. It is an exact, wide mouth and tall height of the glass are both typical of this style of glass. These glasses are the largest, thickest and heaviest of all absinthe glasses.

There are 3 dose lines etched into the panel (facet) cuts, which circle the bottom of the glass. The hand-cut panel cuts also serve to enhance the absinthe's appearance during the louching process.

The glass is in excellent condition with a medium amount of wear under its base.
