Copper and Kings Blanche Absinthe (130 proof / 65% ABV) is distilled in the Copper & Kings American Brandy Company in the neighborhood of Butchertown, located just east of Louisville, Kentucky. Their recipe draws from a traditional French absinthe base, using grande wormwood, anis, fennel and hyssop, as well as a variety of accent botanicals. The mixture is macerated in muscat low wine for approximately 18 hours and then distilled once more. The process takes place using a pure copper alembic potstill, which was handcrafted and hammered in Louisville. The distilled herbs, roots and botanicals are distilled with no post-distillation infusions to add color or flavors.
